Egypt reaffirms support for Sudan’s unity, sovereignty

Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty reaffirmed on Monday, July 27, 2026, Egypt’s unwavering support for Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, territorial integrity and national institutions during a phone call on Monday with Sudanese Foreign Minister Mohi al-Din Salem.

Abdelatty also affirmed Egypt’s readiness, along with Egyptian companies, to contribute to Sudan’s reconstruction once the war ends and security and peace are restored, citing the strategic partnership between the two countries and the extensive expertise of Egyptian firms in construction and post-conflict reconstruction.
