Egypt, France’s Accor discuss major hotel expansion plans

The two sides agreed to continue coordination on new investment opportunities, developing existing projects, expanding hotel brands, and cooperation in training and skills development to support Egypt’s efforts to increase hotel capacity and diversify its tourism offerings.

He also proposed cooperation with the Egyptian government to establish a specialized hospitality academy in Egypt to train and qualify tourism and hotel workers according to international standards while reflecting Egyptian culture.

During a meeting with Accor Chairman and CEO Sébastien Bazin, attended by Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy, Madbouly discussed the company’s plans to expand in Egypt, increase investment in tourism and hospitality, and explore new investment opportunities offered by the government.
