Ecstasy as Arugba leads Osun procession with sacred votary

— Adams seeks FG support, new innovations By Shina Abubakar, Osogbo OSOGBO — There was excitement among worshippers and participants at the Osun-Osogbo Festival as the Arugba, Osunbunmi Moradeke, led the annual procession into the Osun Sacred Grove with the sacred votary for the first time since her selection two years ago.

Meanwhile, the Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, represented at the event by his Deputy, Kola Adewusi, reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to preserving the state’s cultural heritage and protecting the Osun Sacred Grove, a globally recognised heritage site.

Also speaking, the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, called for greater use of technology and digital platforms to expand the global reach and economic impact of the annual Osun-Osogbo Festival.
