Court dismisses Bayelsa traditional ruler’s suit against SPDC
The Federal High Court in Yenagoa on Friday dismissed a suit challenging the divestment of Shell Petroleum Development Company Nigeria Ltd from onshore assets.
The judge further stated that the traditional ruler failed to explore and exhaust the conflict resolution mechanisms by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, The judge noted that the failure, according to the PIA, rendered the suit invalid.
