Court adjourns Shinkafi’s suit against APC, INEC to July 28
Shinkafi is challenging the APC, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and Senator Sahabi Ya’u over his exclusion from the party’s primary election, which produced Senator Ya’u as the APC candidate for the Zamfara North Senatorial District.
Shinkafi, who contested in the APC primary held on May 19, is asking the court to determine the legality of his disqualification.
The court, however, declined the request and ruled that the plaintiff should be given time to file responses to the counter-affidavits submitted by the defendants.
