Bauchi governor drops two commissioners

By GhanaSummary NewsroomNigeria

By Christopher Ameh Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has dropped two of his commissioners from the State Executive Council less than a year before the end of his administration while nominating their replacements to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

Mohammed’s media aide, Mukhtar Gidado, in a statement on Friday, said that the move was part of the administration’s “continuous efforts to strengthen governance and enhance service delivery across the state.“In line with the administration’s commitment to ensuring continuity and efficiency in governance, the names of their proposed replacements, alongside those of other nominees intended to fill vacancies created by the earlier exit of some commissioners, have been forwarded to the Bauchi State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation,” Gidado said.
