Another heatwave strikes Egypt until Thursday: EMA

Hot weather-drinking water The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts a heat wave across the country from Saturday, July 18 to Thursday, July 23, coinciding with continued high humidity levels, which will increase the perceived temperature by two to four degrees Celsius.

The EMA confirmed that high humidity levels will lead to an increase in perceived temperatures, with 40C in Greater Cairo, 42C in Upper Egypt, and 44C in southern Upper Egypt.

Weather maps warned of fog formation between four and eight am on some roads leading to and from northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo, the Suez Canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt.
