African National Congress (ANC) Secretary General Fikile Mbalula says the party’s abstention from voting for Advocate Thandazani Madonsela SC as the evidence leader of the Impeachment Committee does not constitute an objection.

In a letter to National Assembly Speaker Thoko Didiza, Mbalula disclosed that Madonsela was briefed previously to provide legal advice to the ANC on matters relating to Section 89 parliamentary rules and processes.
