Adeyemi denies hiding, says he borrowed N400m to secure PFIPC appointment

By GhanaSummary NewsroomNigeria

Adeniyi Adeyemi has said his withdrawal from public view was due to alleged threats to his life, denying suggestions that he was hiding from law enforcement agencies amid controversy over the disputed Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC).

He also maintained his allegation that he paid N400 million through a proxy to Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, to secure his appointment as director-general of the disputed council.

Meanwhile, the published 2026 Appropriation Bill lists an entity described as the “Presidential Economic Advisory Council/Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council” with an allocation of N1.
