2027: Akwa Ibom Stakeholders endorse Tinubu, Akpabio, Eno

By Henry Umoru ABUJA — Ahead of the 2027 general elections, critical stakeholders from the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District of Akwa Ibom State, cutting across the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and other political groups, have endorsed the re-election bids of President Bola Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Governor Umo Eno.“Accordingly, the meeting endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for another term as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the 2027 Presidential Election; Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio for another term as Senator representing Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District in the 2027 National Assembly Election; and Governor Umo Bassey Eno for another term as Governor of Akwa Ibom State in the 2027 Governorship Election.”According to a statement issued on Sunday by the Special Assistant to the President of the Senate on Media, Jackson Udom, the stakeholders reviewed the political situation in the state and assessed the contributions and performance of the three leaders before arriving at the decision.
