UTV Attackers: 16 NPP Thugs Sl@pped With GH₵2400 Fines Each

A recent incident involving sixteen young men associated with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the studio of UTV has resulted in their conviction and individual fines of GH₵2400 by the Achimota Magistrate Court, as reported by citinewsroom.com.

These individuals faced charges of conspiring to commit a crime and engaging in riotous behavior, to which they pleaded guilty, leading to their convictions.

The event unfolded on October 7, 2023, during the disruption of UTV’s prime-time entertainment program, ‘United Showbiz.’

Their actions resulted in the program’s disruption, including threats against the host and guests.

The incident stemmed from a disagreement involving A Plus, a panelist on the show, who tore apart a letter from the NPP leadership requesting changes to the United Showbiz panel.
