Rocky Dawuni Admonishes Artistes Not To Focus On Hit Songs

The multiple Grammy Awards nominee admonished artistes not to focus on hit songs.

He advised that they should focus on their craft and work on their lyrics.

The 54-year-old musician argued that their songs won’t stand the test of time if their focus is only on getting hits.

“Focus on your craft and work on your lyrics

Mr Dawuni further emphasized the need to adopt a more holistic approach to songwriting in order to create music that will have a meaningful impact.

“I always try to say that we should work hard to create a holistic approach to songwriting and let our words mean something,” he stated.
