Achimota school adds controversial rasta student to its NSMQ squad

Tyrone Marghuy, amidst a national debate, has been selected to join Achimota Senior High School’s team for the upcoming National Science and Maths Quiz competition.

Initially, the school had declined his admission solely based on his dreadlocks, leading to a legal case that was brought before a Ghanaian court.

#AchimotaAt96 ? Last month, our @nsmqghana team participated in a Trial session as we prepare for the upcoming quiz season.

?

We encourage all members of our community to reach out to the team and help equip them for a successful season.”  the school said in a post that came with photos that captured Tyrone Marghuy sitting among the school’s NSQM team.

Manasseh  – Eeeeiii this guy that you were finding it difficult to admit him Hmmmmm 3y3 as3m oo

We need to be progressive and think beyond certain old rules that do not advance the good of the current youth

Congrats to the legal team that helped him and shame on you for attempting to deny him access to quality education due to your old fashioned mind set
