- Wife of Asamoah Gyan, Gifty has filed an application for an interim order of maintenance at the Divorce and Matrimonial Division of the Accra High Court

Gifty Gyan, the wife of Asamoah Gyan, has reportedly petitioned the Divorce and Matrimonial Division of the Accra High Court to order the footballer to continue taking care of her and their children.
The Graphic Online reports that Gifty has filed an application for an interim order of maintenance.
The estranged wife wants Gyan to continue paying for her expenses and that of their three children pending the final determination of the divorce petition initiated by Gyan.
Gifty also wants the striker to pay for the educational expenses of the three children, which is reportedly estimated at £4,667.91.
The report suggests she also wants £1,500 for vehicle insurance and £200 for road tax on yearly basis.
Gifty has also petitioned the court to order Gyan to pay £12,870 which is the five months rent arrears for her shop.
She reportedly stated in her petition that, since July 2018 when Gyan filed for a divorce, he has failed to pay for her maintenance and that of the three children, who both live in the UK with her.
She added that the former Sunderland man once took £70,000 and €11,000 from her but is yet to pay back.
This, Gifty is reported as saying, is the reason why she is unable to cater for herself and her children, as well as pay the rent for her shop.
The 32-year-old reportedly demanded that a DNA paternity test be carried out on his three children.
The Kayserispor striker reportedly wanted to the court to annul his marriage to his wife, Gifty, with whom he has been together since 2003.
