Asante Kotoko Coach Prosper Ogum: victories bring joy to our fans

Asante Kotoko’s head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, highlighted the profound impact of victories on the club’s fans, technical staff, and players, emphasizing that winning brings joy to all involved.

Following a challenging seven-game winless streak, the team has recently found success, securing two victories and a draw in their last three outings.

Reflecting on their 2-0 triumph over Legon Cities at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Ogum expressed admiration for the significance of winning matches to the club’s loyal supporters.

“Winning is the ultimate desire of our devoted supporters.

When we succeed, it brings joy to them and to us,” Ogum conveyed to StarTimes.

The match saw Steven Mukwala giving Asante Kotoko the lead with a penalty conversion after 33 minutes, although the decision to award the penalty was subject to debate.

Yussif Mohammed Nurudeen extended the lead for the home side just five minutes into the second half with a scrappy finish, sealing the 2-0 victory for Kotoko.

This win propelled Asante Kotoko up the league table by two places, now occupying the ninth position with 40 points, a significant climb from their eleventh-place position at the start of the day.
