Legon Cities coach Paa Kwesi Fabin acknowledges Asante Kotoko’s perennial strength after defeat in Kumasi

Following Legon Cities’ 2-0 loss to Asante Kotoko in match week 29 of the Ghana Premier League, head coach Paa Kwesi Fabin lauded the perennial strength of the Porcupine Warriors, despite their current temporary situation.

Despite the setback at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, Fabin emphasized the enduring stature of Asante Kotoko as a formidable force in Ghanaian football.

“Kotoko is always a big team.

“Sometimes in football, things happen, but you can’t write off Kotoko.

I mean, they are always a strong side.”

The match saw Steven Mukwala putting Asante Kotoko in the lead with a well-taken penalty after 33 minutes, although the decision to award the penalty remained a subject of debate.

Yussif Mohammed Nurudeen doubled the lead for the home side just five minutes into the second half, sealing the 2-0 victory for Kotoko.

The defeat resulted in Legon Cities slipping from tenth to eleventh position in the league standings, with 38 points.
