Simba SC in negotiations to either sign Florent Ibenge or Maxime Gouamene as the new head coach

Abdelhak Benchika did not last for even a season after signing a one-and-a-half-year contract with Simba SC as the head coach in the early stages of the current season.

The Algerian tactician left even before the end of the season after suffering home and away defeats in the CAF Champions League quarter-finals against Al Ahly.

Simba SC is coachless currently as they are third in the Tanzanian Liga Kuu Bara trailing first-place Young Africans by 15 points but even have two games in hand.

In the search for a new coach, Congolese veteran head coach Florent Ibenge is the leading candidate to become Simba’s new coach.

The Al Hilal head coach is in negotiations with the Tanzanian giants and is ready to cancel his contract with the Sudanese club to further his coaching in Tanzania.

Florent Ibenge already has many offers on the table, one of the biggest offers is from Simba SC.

Simba SC has also established contacts with FC San Pedro’s head coach Maxime Gouamene.

The 48-year-old Gouamene is currently leading the Ivory Coast Ligue 1 league log with 48 points after 25 games.

They lead second-place Asec Mimosas with two points and are left with just five games to end the season.

Maxime Gouamene is also a former head coach of the Ivorian CHAN team.
