The newly constructed stadium for Ghanaian Premier League Champions is set for commissioning in the Next few weeks according to report.

Goldfields Ghana foundation has spent over $13 million dollars on the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium.

The stadium when completed will take a sitting capacity of over 10,000 spectators.

Rumours were rife last year the stadium was to be completely in the last quarter of 2023 to enable Medeama host their CAF Championships league at Tarkwa.

However, in a statement by the engineers, the stadium was meant for completion in the middle of March 2024.

Reports however reaching Sports World Ghana indicate Medeama will continue to use the Akoon park till the end of the season.

Both Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko are without their own stadia and currently use the Accra sports stadium Baba Yara Stadium respectively for their League matches.
