‘Double your effort to qualify’ – Ex-Zamalek star Joe Okyere advises Dreams FC

As Dreams FC gears up to face off against Egyptian powerhouse Zamalek in the crucial CAF Confederation Cup semifinal clash, former Zamalek midfielder Joe Okyere is stressing the importance of doubling efforts to secure a spot in the finals.

The Still Believe lads, after securing a vital draw in the first leg at the CAIRO International Stadium, are set to battle it out at the Baba Yara Stadium in the return fixture.

With the Ghana FA Cup holders holding the advantage following the goalless draw in Egypt, the pressure is on to maintain their momentum.

Okyere, speaking to Kessben FM, drew from his experience with Zamalek, advising Dreams FC against complacency.

He emphasized the need for heightened vigilance, especially against Zamalek’s strengths in set pieces.

“I’ve played for Zamalek before and I know the strategies they use in playing away games.

I will advise Dreams FC not to be complacent against Zamalek because they can take them by surprise”

As Zamalek arrived in Kumasi, prepared for the encounter, Dreams FC must heed Okyere’s warning and intensify their efforts.

“Karim Zito saw them play in Cairo but he should guide against complacency because it’s going to be tough.

They are good when it comes to set pieces.

I will urge them to double their effort in Kumasi to qualify” he said.

With the match holding immense significance for Dreams FC, as they strive to make history by becoming the first Ghanaian side in two decades to reach the final, the stakes couldn’t be higher.
