Coach Abdul Mumin reveals unpaid salary and bonuses owed by RTU

Abdul Mumin, the former head coach of Real Tamale United (RTU), has revealed that the club owes him salaries and bonuses dating back to the 2022/23 football season.

This disclosure comes after he was relieved of his coaching duties this week following accusations of match-fixing by fans.In an interview with Akoma FM, Coach Abdul Mumin expressed his frustration and disappointment over the situation.

He stated that despite his dedication and sacrifices for the club over the past few years, he has been accused of match manipulation, which has deeply affected him.”We reached a mutual termination agreement.

I couldn’t simply resign because the club owes me a significant amount of money in unpaid salaries and bonuses from the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons,” Coach Abdul Mumin explained.

He further mentioned that the only payment he received was for March of the current year.Coach Abdul Mumin highlighted his commitment to developing young players and contributing to the growth of the game.

He emphasized that despite his efforts, there were instances where he was not compensated adequately, which added to his disappointment.The coach expressed his pain and frustration at being accused of match manipulation, stating that it tarnished his reputation and undermined his contributions to the club.

He urged the club to address the issue promptly and settle the outstanding payments owed to him.With hopes for a resolution, Coach Abdul Mumin is counting on the club to fulfill its obligations and settle the financial dues owed to him.
