CAF CC: ”The referees have been fair and it’s making the competition better” – Dreams FC boss Karim Zito

Dreams FC coach Karim Zito has expressed his contentment with the officiating standards as his team prepares for the quarterfinals of the CAF Confederations Cup.

The Still Believe lads have left an indelible mark in their inaugural African campaign, defying expectations to reach the quarterfinals of the competition for the first time in their history.

Having emerged as group winners, they are set to face Stade Malien in Bamako this weekend, with the return fixture scheduled in Kumasi a week later.

In an interview with Kessben FM,, Zito commended the match officials for their stellar performances in the tournament.

“Playing in Africa is fantastic.

I played to the highest level during my playing time and have seen a lot of things.

One of the most important thing in the ongoing season is officiating, the referees are not saint but they are closer to saint because they have performed extremely well”

“I went to Angola and scored three goals, it stood and that gives every team the motivation to perform.

The referees have been fair so far and its making the competition better”

Dreams FC is gearing up for the crucial match against Stade Malien on Sunday.

The Still Believe lads are scheduled to depart for Bamako, Mali, on Friday for the first leg tie at the Stade 26 Mars Stadium at 5 pm.

With hopes of securing a positive result in Mali, Dreams FC aims to make the return leg a formality, ensuring progression in the tournament.
