CAF Women’s Champions League: Matchday 2 Report

Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa’s 2-1 victory over the defending champions has propelled them to the top of Group B of the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League in Ivory Coast.

Apem Darkoa Ladies fought gallantly and won by 2-1.Comfort Yebah won the woman of the Match with a goal and also forced ASFAR to score an own goal in the second half helping Ampem Darkoa top Group B after MD2.

In the other game of Group B, the second half saw two goals with one each from both sides.

Second-round matches of the group stages continue on Wednesday at Korhogo with Athletico Abidjan locking horns against JKT Queens of Tanzania at 5 pm

In the same group, Mamelodi Sundowns will play against Sporting Casablanca at 8 pm.

On Thursday, in Group B, ASFAR will play against Huracanes at 5 p.m

in San Pedro while group leaders Ampem Darkoa will play Malien side AS Mande in the last game of the second round of the group stages at 8 p.m.
