‘Ghana football is progressing’ – Andre Ayew

While some Ghanaians have voiced concerns about the state of football in the country, Ayew believes that Ghanaian football is progressing and urged his fellow citizens to continue supporting it.

As a child, he dreamt of playing in the Premier League and has always been a fan of it.

He acknowledged the advancements in Ghanaian football, such as the ability to watch live games on mobile phones.

Ayew mentioned following the progress of RTU, an important club to him, and praised the accessibility that allows him to stay connected to Ghanaian football while abroad.

He hopes that this positive trajectory continues and that more steps are taken to support Ghanaian football.

“Being outside and for me to be able to follow the league I want to, if I don’t have a training and a game and there is a game I want to watch, maybe I want to watch RTU, Kotoko, Hearts of Oak or any team, I’m able to watch and that is a great achievement and it helps the local players to also profile themselves”

As of now, Ayew is a free agent after his six-month contract with Nottingham Forest expired, making his support for Ghanaian football even more meaningful.
