AFCON Qualifiers: Ghana 1 – 0 Angola – Chris Hughton wins first Black Stars game

Ghana created a lot of good openings in the first half of the match with so many defense splitting passes from captain Thomas Teye Partey.

Kamaldeen Sulemana was a delight to watch in the first half of the match together with Mohammed Kudus, Jordan Ayew and Thomas Partey.

The first half ended goalless.

In the second half of the match, Ghana continued from where they left off in the first half of the match and controlled the game very well

Ghana probed further in the second half after Chris Hughton made three changes bringing on Abdul Samed Salis, Antoine Semenyo and and Joseph Paintsil for Jordan Ayew, Edmund Addo and Kamaldeen Sulemana.

Semenyo came close on two occasions but fluffed his lines and failed to convert the half chances he had.

At the death of the match, Paintsil was brought down at the edge of the box which resulted in a free-kick to the Stars.
