CAF President Patrice Motsepe believes ten African country can compete and win World Cup

President of the Confederation of African Football [CAF], Patrice Motsepe is convinced African countries can compete and win the World Cup following the continent’s output at the just-ended 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Out of the five countries that represented African at the 22nd edition of the Mundial, Morocco became the first African side to play in the semifinals of the tournament.

At a press conference in Johannesburg to assess Africa’s World Cup participation in Qatar, Patrice Motsepe had this to say.

“If you look at the talent on the African continent, in my mind there is approximately ten nations in Africa now that can compete at the highest level in the world and win,” Patrice Motsepe said.
