Tamale City to replace demoted Ashantigold after winning promotion playoffs

Tamale City have gained promotion into the Ghana Premier League to replace demoted Ashantigold after winning the promotion playoffs.

The Citizens drew 1-1 with Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs FC to secure their maiden premier league berth after failing against Nkoranza Warriors in the Zone One playoffs.

City beat the Scientific Soccer Lads, Liberty Professionals in their first game of the playoffs for promotion to the elite league in Ghana.

This will be their first ever season in the Ghana Premier League.
