GFA put on hold player registration with Ghana Card

GFA put on hold player registration with Ghana Card

Prosper Harrison Addo, the general secretary of the Ghana Football Association, has disclosed that the decision to enable clubs to register players this season using just Ghana cards has been suspended.

Following the end of the 2021/22 season, the GFA announced that the Ghana Card will be the only means by which players can be registered for the upcoming season.

However, that stand has been put on hold according to Harrison Addo during his recent interview with Starr FM.

“Yes, initially we had communicated to all clubs that the Ghana card will be solely used for player registration before the league commences,” he commenced.

“But we had to put it on hold because most of the people involved in this exercise don’t have their cards ready to use for the whole exercise.”

The 2022/23 Premier League season is set to be played with a headline sponsor after the GFA unveiled betPawa as the face of it.
