Minister of Defence Dr. Edward Omane Boamah has stated that the damage caused by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to Ghana extends beyond this generation.
According to him, the deep-seated harm inflicted by the now-opposition party’s economic mismanagement is alarming and will take a long time to repair.
He explained that the February 20 Cabinet meeting opened his eyes to the many issues inherited from the previous government, indicating that Ghana is in a dire situation.
"Sadly, the signs were glaring in bold, unfiltered figures at our first Cabinet meeting yesterday, as the Finance Minister revealed the extent of the damage the NPP has inflicted on Ghanaians and our economy."
Despite the grim situation, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah remains optimistic, expressing confidence in President John Dramani Mahama’s leadership.
"However, I am hopeful! Hopeful because, with President John Dramani Mahama at the helm, we shall fix the mess the NPP has created."
