Haruna Iddrisu, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Tamale South, has been nominated as the Minister of Education by President John Dramani Mahama.
Iddrisu is a politician, lawyer, business magnate, and leader with extensive experience in Ghana's Parliament.
He has held various roles, including Deputy Ranking Member, Majority Leader, and Minority Leader in different parliaments under the Fourth Republic.
He has also served as Minister of Employment and Labour Relations and Minister of Communications.
Iddrisu holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Ghana and has been a Barrister-at-Law and a member of the Ghana Bar Association since 2002.
