Black Stars defender Tariq Lamptey says the team looks forward to achieving big things in the near future despite the disappointment they suffered at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Tariq made his Black Stars debut in September last year, before the start of the 2022 World Cup, in a friendly against Brazil.
He went on to play against Switzerland before representing his country at the World Cup against Portugal and South Korea.
The 22-year-old has not featured Ghana since then but says the team has big objectives with the quality they possess in the squad.
“You are always excited to play for your country no matter in the World Cup, in a friendly game. Obviously, the World Cup is special. You think about it when you are a little boy but when you join the team, you are always excited and looking forward to getting down to work,” he told Joy Sports.
“We have a great mixture in the team and we are looking forward to doing some good things going forward.”
