Defenders John Boye and Kasim Nuhu have both withdrawn from the Black Stars squad to play Kenya in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
Hoffenheim’s Nuhu, 24, sustained an ankle injury towards the end of the first half of Hoffenheim’s Bundesliga game against Freiburg on Saturday while John Boye failed to recover from an injury he suffered on Tuesday night in a French cup game against RC Lens, lasting just 15 minutes.
Black Stars coach, Kwesi Appiah, has subsequently called up Red Star Belgrade defender, Rashid Sumaila to replace the duo.
Ghana will start camp on Monday ahead of the game scheduled for September 8 in Namboole.
Ghana started their qualifying series with a 5-0 thumping of Ethiopa in 2017 and will be looking to make it 2 wins out of 2 as they chase a place in Cameroon next year.
