'This aged well': Declan Rice mocks Spurs fan who laughed at Lanzini on Twitter

West Ham's Declan Rice has taken to Twitter to point fun at a Tottenham supporter's tweet bragging about his side when Spurs were 3-0 up against the Hammers.

The east Londoners were three goals down away at Jose Mourinho's Spurs but scored three goals in the final ten minutes to pull off a stunning comeback.

When Spurs were in cruise control in the second-half, Gareth Bale was brought on for his second Tottenham debut, with one supporter tweeting: 'We bring on bale, West Ham bring on Lanzini'.

After Lanzini scored a stunning long-range injury-time equaliser to break Spurs hearts, Rice responded to the tweet, saying: 'This Aged Well'.

Before the West Ham equaliser, which came in the dying moments of the game as Lanzini struck the ball from 25 yards out into the top corner past Hugo Lloris, Fabian Balbuena and Davinson Sanchez's own goal had given the Hammers hope.

Bale, meanwhile, missed a crucial chance to settle the match in injury-time, by missing a one-on-one with the scores at 3-2 to Spurs.

West Ham went three goals down after the first 16 minutes as Son Heung-Min struck in the opening seconds of the game before Harry Kane struck a brace.

Speaking after the game to Sky Sports, Rice praised his side's mentality after falling so far behind Spurs early on.

The England international said: 'Honestly, I can't tell you, it's just one of them special moments in football where it seems like it's meant to be.

'Obviously, it wasn't the start we wanted, three goals down in 15 minutes and that's not what we've been about recently. But it still felt like we were playing good football and creating chances.

'It didn't feel like a 3-0 game. For some reason they dropped off us in the second half and didn't try to kill the game off.

'It was a moment of brilliance from Manu and you can see the reaction from the boys – it's something I can't put into words.'

The result kept West Ham in the top-half of the Premier League table, while Spurs missed out on the opportunity to steal an early march in the Champions League places after Arsenal and Chelsea failed to win on Saturday.
