Shooting@NDC Office: 8 More Suspects Declared Wanted
The Ashanti Region Police Command has declared twelve (12) suspects wanted for the shooting and killing of a man at the office of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kumasi last Monday.

In an interview with Peace FM News, acting Public Relations Officer for the Ashanti Regional Police command, ASP Godwin Ahianyo, explained that these suspects are; Saani Mohammed alias ‘Commando’, Wayo, Element, Jah Rule as well as Petit.

The rest are Akon, Fayiz, Mallam and Rock. They add up to the four (4) already declared wanted.
 
Police on Monday night, named four persons linked to NDC militia group, ‘Hawks’; Hussein Barri alias ‘Warrior’, Midjima, Damos and Abu Taliban- as key suspects in the crime.

This brings to 12, the number of persons said to have played a role in the disturbance at the regional office of the opposition party on Monday.

ASP Godwin Ahianyo further appealed to the general public to volunteer information that will lead to the arrest of the perpetrators for swift investigation and prosecution.

Former Municipal Chief Executive for Ejisu-Juabeng in the Ashanti Region, Afrifa Yamoah-Ponkoh and a former deputy Minister of Sports, Joseph Yamin, were picked by the Ashanti Regional Police Command, in connection with Monday's fatal shooting tha rocked the Regional Headquarters of the opposition party for questioning.

No arrest has however been made.

Meanwhile, the deceased has been buried according to Islamic customs and traditions on Tuesday.
