ICGC Church Puts Smiles On Faces Of Patients at Koforidua Regional Hospital
The International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Jesus Temple Branch in Koforidua in the Eastern Region on Christmas Day organised a buffet/lunch for over 500 staff and patients of the Koforidua Regional Hospital also know as Central Hospital.

The Head Pastor of the Jesus Temple, Rev. Dickson Sarpong Tuffour, speaking to the media said “the patients would have wished to spend the Christmas Day with their love ones and Family at home. But they found themselves in hospital due to circumstances beyond their control which God knows best”.

He said Christmas Day is a day of showing love and sharing of gifts and as part of the social responsibilities of the Church, they decided to organise a buffet party for the patients, entertain them with songs, and pray for speedy recovery.

Rev. Dickson expressed the hope that the event would bring some joy to the patients despite their situation.

He again led some members of his Church to go round the wards to share packed lunches with fruits, soft drink and water to the patients who could not come out of their wards because of their condition.

He assured the management of the hospital that, such gesture is going to be an annual event of church.

The Patients however expressed their heart-felt appreciation to the leadership of the church for the good thoughts of those who are being held captive by sickness without any hope from family and friends coming to celebrate the Christmas festivity with them.

Dr. Kwame Anim Boamah, the Director of the Koforidua Regional Hospital, also thanked the Church for the gesture expressing hope that such motion would bring some comfort to the patients and serve as a motivation to the staff on duty.

He said again that, the doors of Koforidua Regional Hospital are always opened for anyone with the intention to support patients on admission.
