2024 IWD: Stanbic Blue Fusion Donates To Serwaa Nyarko Girls SHS

The Women's Forum of Stanbic Bank Ghana, Blue Fusion, has donated reading and learning materials worth thirty thousand Ghana Cedis (GHS30,000) to Serwaa Nyarko Girls SHS in Kumasi.

This forms part of their mission to inspire, educate and uplift young girls and women on International Women’s Day and beyond.Speaking at a brief presentation ceremony, Margaret Obimpeh, Head of Affluent Clients and Chairperson of Blue Fusion emphasized the importance of reading, grooming and early empowerment, stating, “We at Stanbic are very passionate about equitable access to education, including life-long growth through on-going training and skills development.

That is why we are embarking on this donation to ultimately inculcate the habit of reading in our young girls to boost their social, emotional, creative, physical, linguistic, and cognitive development’’She added, “This year's theme for the IWD celebrations in the right direction and in line with our beliefs at Stanbic Bank Ghana.

Our donation today will therefore inspire, educate and uplift this young girl to prepare them to seize opportunities in life.

Women deserve a seat at the table and we believe that by supporting them at this young age, when the time comes, they will be ready to take over and conquer the world.”The donation was received with gratitude by the headmistress Esther Gyasi-Sarpong, who underscored the immense impact it would have on the lives and education of the young girls.

The group has also made it their responsibility to educate young girls on topics such as grooming, self-confidence, and financial independence.
