New Patriotic Party(NPP) member of Parliament for Subin constituency, Eugene Boakye Antwi, has reitirated boldly that President Akufo-Addo should heed to the calls of the over 80 MPs calling for the head of Minister for Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta and Charles Adu Boahen, Minister of State at the Finance Ministry.The Majority Caucus in Parliament has threatened to boycott Parliamentary sittings if President Akufo-Addo does not relieve Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta and the Minister of State at the Presidency, Charles Adu Boahen of their positions.Addressing a Press Conference on Tuesday, Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem North, Lawyer Andy Appiah Kubi said the two need to be fired over their failure in dealing with the current economic challenges."We were about forty MPs at this meeting, and Kwami a clarion call was made that our leader(Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu) should inform the President that we are done with Ken Ofori-Atta and Charles Adu Boahen and so they should resign and go.

Ken Ofori-Atta and Charles Adu Boahen are an immediate concern," Eugene Boakye Antwi told host of Peace FM's 'kokrokoo', Kwami Sefa Kayi in an interview.According to him all of the over Eighty (80) MPs signed and it is not a rhetoric."If he says he won't let Ken Ofori-Atta go we are going to boycott all government business in parliament," he said."We have demonstrated to this country that there are genuine, honest, patriotic Ghanaians who have the country at heart.

if he says he won't remove Ken he should add Parliament to the Execuitve and rule Ghana with Ken Ofori-Atta," he furiously said."We are running a democracy not a family dynasty.

we have many competent and experience people in this party and in parliament to do the job that Ken Ofori-Atta is doing.

""If Ken Ofor-Atta dies won't there be anybody to be Finance Minister?" he rhetorically asked."There is a huge credibility deficit in his own pronuncement against the IMF, we are not joking with the future of this country, we are very serious people, we are not joking, we are running a democracy so we have to respect the voices of the people who voted for us," he added.On whether Ken Ofori-Atta's removal will stabilize and solve the current economic crises, he said, "let's remove them or resign and see how the market will response". Party Chairman calls for calm The National Executive body of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has taken notice of a press conference held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, by some members of the Majority Caucus of Parliament, demanding amongst others, the immediate resignation or dismissal of Hon.
