Give Us Getfund Assistance To Expand Our Frontiers

The President of Presbyterian University College Rev Prof Emmanuel Adow obeng has appealed to the ministry of Education to support Private Universities through the GETfund to enable them expand their frontiers.

He debunked the assertion that private Universities are profit oriented organizations and did not need government financial support to survive.

He made the appealed when he addressed the 15th congregation of the university at Kwahu- Abetifi in the Eastern Region.

The President of the University further stated that in order for Private tertiary Institutions to thrive in the midst COVID 19 the government must support them as it is doing for the Public Institutions.

A total of 500 and 86 graduands from the various programmes of the University obtained all the requirements for the award of degree certificates.

Out of the figure, 83 of the students made up of 43 males and 40 females had first class, 275 obtained second class upper while 216 had second class lower with 12 obtaining third class.

The Moderator of Presbyterian Church of Ghana Rev. Prof. Joseph Obiri Yeaboah Mante addressing the graduands entreated them to utilized the training they have acquired and make discipline their hallmark as they enter the cooperate world.

The Moderator Prof Mante disclosed that the school has completed it process of becoming an autonomy and will received its presidential chatter soon to award its own certificates.

The overall Best Graduating Student, Grace Asantewaa Koranteng encouraged her fellow graduands to have confident and grab every opportunity that present itself irrespective of its benefit in the cooperate world.

She added that greatness lies in each of them and they should not be deter by the current unemployment situation in the country but rather be a solution to the problem.
