Rawlings Fumes Over Martin Amidu’s 'Exclusion' From NDC
Former President Jerry John Rawlings has lashed out at the past administrations of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) party for sidelining the now Special Prosecutor (SP), Mr Martin A. B. A. Amidu.

According to the former president, the appointment of Mr Amidu as the SP by the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the NDC’s main rivals speaks volumes about the image of the party.

“When we had the chance, we made an outcast of our own, allowing our rivals to recognise the true wealth and offer him such a sensitive national anti-corruption role,” he fumed.

Mr Rawlings was speaking at the 39th June 4 revolution commemoration held at Madina in Accra Monday afternoon.

He added “what does that make of us,” stressing that “if we forget to clean our house well and spend our energies only attacking our rivals, it will not portend anything positive to our future”.

He has therefore called on the youth of the party to strive to be different from the past leaders of the party.

“I call on the youth of our party to strive to be different, educate yourselves about the core values of our party”.
