Renowned media personality Vim Lady born Afia Pokua says the president of the Ghana Journalist Association,(GJA) Albert Kwabena Dwumfour does not owe President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo any apology over his comment on galamsey.

It would be recalled that the GJA President Albert Kwabena Dwumfour called on the President, to declare a state of emergency over the illegal mining crisis, commonly known as galamsey and also free the Democracy Hub Protesters who were arrested.

He argued that declaring a state of emergency would empower authorities to enforce mining laws more effectively and put a halt to the devastating activities.

Mr Dwumfour pointed out that despite numerous interventions and policies aimed at fighting galamsey, the menace persists, with significant damage to Ghana's natural resources.
