Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has successfully avoided a three-match suspension after the club appealed his red card from the match against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The 30-year-old midfielder was sent off for a foul on Spurs' James Maddison, a decision that could have sidelined him for upcoming Premier League fixtures.

United's appeal argued that the straight red card was a mistake, and the Football Association (FA) has agreed, rescinding the ban.

This means Fernandes will now be available for Manchester United's matches against Aston Villa, Brentford, and West Ham.
