The Chairperson of the of Ghana, Jean Mensa, says the commission has updated the voters register for the 2024 general elections.
Speaking at the IPAC meeting on October 1, 2024, she said the commission recently cleaned up errors that were found in the register.
She said "As a commission, we have devoted the last few weeks to correct the discrepancies and you will find that the provisional voters register today is different and more accurate than what was exhibited and provided to the parties in August 2024." Jean Mensa refuted claims that the EC wants to intentionally disenfranchise some voters.
According to the EC, the IPAC meeting proves the transparency of the electoral process in the upcoming general elections.
