In a recent Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting held on October 1, Jean Mensa, Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), addressed the ongoing concerns raised by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) regarding alleged discrepancies in the voter register.
Mensa highlighted that the NDC had previously outlined five categories of issues but has since failed to provide any concrete evidence to support its claims. "The commission demanded further evidence from the NDC regarding these issues," Mensa stated. "However, they assured us that such discrepancies are typical of any voter's register.
The purpose of the exhibition exercise is to unearth and rectify these inconsistencies.
Unfortunately, the NDC has not presented any more evidence to the EC." This underscores the need for a collaborative approach as various political parties work together to ensure the integrity of the electoral process.
