The Director of Communications for the 2024 Bawumia campaign, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has berated persons pushing the courts to grant amnesty to those who engaged in acts of lawlessness during the recently held Democracy Hub demonstration.
The protests, held at Accra's 37 Roundabout, escalated when some protesters blocked roads, dismantled police barriers, obstructed traffic, and burned property.
As of now, 54 protesters have been detained, with nine in prison custody and the rest in police custody.
The decision of the Circuit Court has been condemned by individuals and various groupings, including the main opposition political party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
