Hopeson Adorye, a former Parliamentary Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and now a key figure in Alan Kyeremanteng's Movement for Change, has made serious allegations surrounding the resignation of Samuel Dubik Mahama, the Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
In an exclusive interview with TV XYZ monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Adorye claimed that Samuel Mahama was forced to step down due to intense pressure from the ruling party.
According to Adorye, Mahama faced "unreasonable financial demands" from the NPP to divert funds meant for contractor payments towards the party's campaign activities. "Samuel Dubik Mahama was under immense pressure from the NPP, not just to manage the debts owed to contractors, but also to make certain financial commitments for the party's campaign," Adorye disclosed.
He further elaborated that these demands were unrealistic, given the growing financial strain within the ECG, largely due to unpaid debts to contractors.
