Ghanaian musician Okyeame Kwame, during an appearance on UTV's United Showbiz, urged President Akufo-Addo to take decisive action to end illegal mining, commonly known as galamsey.
He emphasized that galamsey is destroying the nation's water resources, referencing recent protests and public outcry to stop the practice.
Okyeame Kwame reminded the president of his promise before assuming office, when he vowed to put his presidency on the line to tackle the galamsey issue.
With only three months left until the next election, the musician questioned why the president hasn't acknowledged the dire state of Ghana's water bodies, many of which now resemble 'Milo' due to severe pollution.
