President has praised Ghanaian journalists for their sacrifices and dedication to the nation's development.

He highlighted the media's essential role in fostering an informed society, stability, and democratic values, which had driven Ghana's progress, and encouraged journalists to prepare for the challenges ahead. "Let us not look back at how far we have come, but also look forward to the future we must build together," he advocated in an address at the media awards' ceremony, to climax the Ghana Journalists Association's (GJA) 75th anniversary, in Accra.

The year-long anniversary is being marked on the theme: "75 Years of Excellence in Journalism: The Role of the Media in Democratic Governance and Elections".

President Akufo-Addo emphasized that the media has consistently demonstrated resilience, innovation, and a strong commitment to the truth. "The media is and will continue to be a cornerstone of our democratic journey. "Your work is essential to the strength of our democracy, the integrity of our elections, and the progress of our nation," he stated, and appealed to journalists to be resilient in advancing the cause of truth and justice.
