A New Patriotic Party (NPP) Polling Station Executive in the Wulensi Constituency of the Northern Region, Yaw Binkoni has been suspended from the party effective immediately.
This decision comes as a result of his involvement with an Independent Parliamentary Candidate in the Wulensi Constituency, which the party's leadership deemed a serious violation of the NPP Constitution.
In a formal notification, party officials cited Binkoni's alignment with the Independent Candidate as contravening Article 3(9)(1) of the NPP Constitution.
As outlined in Article 3(5)(A)(1), every party member is required to uphold and defend the good name of the NPP while ensuring its objectives and principles are respected.
