Manchester City have been dealt a significant blow with the news that midfielder Rodri will miss the rest of the season after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).

The 28-year-old sustained the injury during Sunday's 2-2 Premier League draw against Arsenal after a collision with Thomas Partey.

City boss Pep Guardiola confirmed that the midfielder underwent surgery on Friday and will be sidelined for the remainder of the campaign. "He had surgery this morning-ACL and some meniscus.

So, next season he will be here.
