Scores of artisans in the Konkonpe area of Ablekuma North Constituency of the Greater Accra Region have voiced their concerns over the worsening state of the economy, citing the high exchange rate as a major factor crippling their businesses.
According to the artisans, the rising cost of doing business has led to the collapse of several enterprises and significantly slowed economic activity in the region's area known for spare parts dealerships.
The artisans shared their frustrations during a community engagement held by the (NDC's) flagbearer, as part of the continuation of the campaign tour of the region.
They expressed fears that without urgent intervention, more businesses may be forced to close, deepening the economic challenges faced by the community.
