The Board of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) is currently in an emergency meeting following the unexpected resignation of its Managing Director, Samuel Dubik Mahama.
According to reports available to MyNewsGh, the discussions are primarily centered on Mahama's resignation and the wider implications for the company, especially amidst ongoing power outages affecting parts of the country.
Mahama, who assumed office on May 16, 2022, following his appointment by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, had only been in the role for two years.
His abrupt departure has raised questions, as neither ECG nor government officials have disclosed the reasons behind his decision to step down.
